Effective and last updated: August 7, 2026. We built a small site, so the privacy story can stay small too.

1. Who we are

My Rate Pal is an Oathill Media publication. This policy covers myratepal.com.

2. What we collect

Email you send us. If you write to support@myratepal.com, we receive your email address, message, and anything you choose to include. Please do not send sensitive financial, health, insurance, identity, or benefits documents.

Basic technical records. Our hosting and security providers may process standard request data such as IP address, browser type, requested page, referring page, and date and time. We use that data to deliver, protect, and troubleshoot the site.

3. Cookies and ads

At launch, we do not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, tracking pixels, account logins, or behavioral profiling. Basic hosting and security systems may use strictly necessary technical methods to deliver and protect the site.

4. How we use information

• Reply to messages and correction requests.
• Run, secure, debug, and improve the site.
• Meet legal duties and protect rights and safety.

5. Selling and sharing

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may give limited data to service providers that host, secure, or support the site, under instructions to perform that work. We may also disclose information when law requires it or during a business transfer.

6. Retention

We keep email only as long as reasonably needed to answer, keep a correction record, meet legal duties, or protect the site. Hosting and security logs follow the retention settings of our providers.

7. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to ask what personal information we hold, request correction or deletion, or appeal a decision. Email support@myratepal.com. We may need to verify the request. We do not discriminate for using a privacy right.

8. Children

This site is for a general adult audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child sent us personal information.

9. Outside links

We link to government agencies, regulators, and other outside sites. Their privacy rules apply when you leave this site.

10. Changes

We may update this policy as the site changes. The date at the top will move when we do.
