Small print, set big
How we check things
Plain words still need solid bones. Here is how we work.
1. We start at the real office
For public programs, laws, consumer rights, and official processes, we prefer the agency that runs or regulates the thing. For insurance, we use state insurance departments and the National Association of Insurance Commissioners. We show source links at the bottom of each guide.
2. We put a date on it
Every guide has a “checked” date. Program rules, limits, prices, rates, and forms can change. We avoid hard numbers when the current official tool is the safer answer.
3. We use small words on purpose
Short sentences are not baby talk. They make hard stuff easier to use. We cut buzzwords, explain needed terms, and keep the useful step near the top.
4. We do not promise
We do not say you will qualify, save a set amount, get approved, or receive a certain rate. A real office, lender, bank, insurer, tax professional, or licensed adviser makes those calls.
5. We fix mistakes
Email support@myratepal.com with the page and the problem. We check the primary source, correct the guide when needed, and update the reviewed date.
6. Pictures are editorial illustrations
The people shown in our original editorial photos are not applicants, customers, officials, or spokespeople. The scenes illustrate common household tasks. They do not document a real person’s finances or benefits.
